One Word - Spam-O-Meter
Ever get an eMail that offers you an eMail list of Doctors or Marketing Managers for $199 for 8000 names? They promise that it's a legitimate opt-in email list and clean.
That's just great... and too good to pass up... WELL YOU SHOULD!
On the left is an actual graphic taken May 2008. It shows the amount of spam that is being sent on the internet at that moment. This means that over 90% of eMail being sent is spam.
10% of most ads will read some sort of response. You like 10% odds? How about only 1% actually receive your eMail, and of that, 10% will ever actually read it? (My calculator says that is 8 people).
How can you cut through the chaff?
Web hosts (especially AT&T, Comcast and other biggies) spend hundred of thousands a year to fight scams, spams, and canned hams (just kidding). Buying a list and hoping for sales is like standing on a tall building in downtown Chicago and throwing out business cards and hoping to find a customer.
We know the rules, the tools and the winning combinations that get people to open your eMails and respond. We can explain the difference between being whitelisted, blacklisted and just simply making eMail a tool that can simply and cost effectively build your business.
